I. Participation Requirements

A. Only members of SMI through the Christian Health Care Newsletter (CHCN) are eligible to participate in the Save to Share™ ministry.

B. Licensed Motor Vehicle needs are not published in Save to Share™. See Motor Vehicle sharing Guidelines on page 26.

C. Each household must participate in Save to Share™ with the same level of membership (single, couple, single-parent family, or two-parent family) as they have in CHCN.

D. In addition to the annual administrative fee, each participating household must make an annual deposit into a savings account that will be dedicated for use in the Save to Share™ program. The current annual household amount required to be set aside is: required is:

1. Singles—$100
2. Couples and single parent families—$200
3. Families—$300

Set aside amounts can only be raised by a vote of the Save to Share™ participants with a sixty percent majority of those voting required for approval.

E. Any unused funds remaining at the end of the year are to be held for future needs if the household continues participation, and the household will be asked to set aside an additional full year’s amount for the new year. (A household will not be asked to add any amount that brings the total set aside to more than three times the current annual set aside amount.)

F. An annual administrative fee (currently $15) will be required from each participating household. This fee is separate from the set aside amount and is paid to SMI. G. The funds set aside are the property of the member and will be used at the member’s voluntary discretion. If the member ceases participation in the Save to Share™ ministry, unused funds will remain the property of the member.
