Noteworthy: Intercessory prayer vital to Samaritan Ministries

by Michael Miller  ·  Apr 20, 2022

Assistant Editor Greg Feulner’s article this month is on a topic that has been vital to Samaritan Ministries since its beginning: intercessory prayer.

We are called by God to pray for one another (James 5:16) and encouraged by dozens of examples of prayer warriors throughout the Bible, such as Daniel, David, and, of course, Jesus. Prayer has also always been a key to health care sharing through Samaritan.

  • It’s baked into our member-to-member sharing.
  • We make it a point to offer to pray with our members when they call us.

Our Prayer Guide team spends each month assembling the prayer requests that members submit with their Needs and organizing them for your use both in print and electronic formats.

In his article, Greg recounts his own experiences with bad health and how they taught him the power of intercessory prayer. He also offers several tips on improving our own intercessory prayer practices.

Please read the articles, especially the suggestions, and ask the Lord to show you how to improve your own practice of intercessory prayer.
